Who is eligible to apply for grants? (Conditions for applying to the Free Turkish Scholarship Program)
- For undergraduate students:
- The age of the applicant must not exceed 21 years.
- The applicant must not be currently enrolled in a Turkish university for the same academic degree they are applying for.
- The applicant must provide evidence of enrollment in high school or a grade point average of no less than 70% for all majors and 90% for medical specialties (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy).
- For Master's students:
- The age of the applicant must not exceed 30 years.
- Bachelor’s degree average should not be less than 75%
- For Doctoral students:
- The age of the applicant must not exceed 35 years.
- Master’s degree average should not be less than 75%
Documents required to apply for the Turkish scholarship?
1- For undergraduate students:
- A recent Photo of the candidate ( must be a proper portrait of yourself, candidate photos which are not identifiable will undermine the evaluation of your application)
- A copy of the applicant’s passport with a validity of at least 60 months.
- A certified and translated copy of high school diploma.
- An accredited and translated transcript is necessary for students who have completed high school. For students who are still in secondary school, a transcript of grades from the second year of secondary school or the first semester of the third year is required, with a minimum average of 70%. The transcript must be certified and translated
2- For Master's students:
- A recent Photo of the candidate ( must be a proper portrait of yourself, candidate photos which are not identifiable will undermine the evaluation of your application)
- A copy of the applicant’s passport with a validity of at least 60 months.
- A certified and translated copy of the secondary school certificate and its transcript are required.
- An accredited and translated copy of the bachelor’s degree and its transcript are necessary.
- A letter of motivation, written in English, is required. This letter should explain the applicant’s reasons for choosing to study in Turkey and why they are seeking the scholarship.
- Recommendation letter (it will be given to you by your professors at the university you graduated from or the employer in which you work).
3- For Doctoral students:
- A recent Photo of the candidate ( must be a proper portrait of yourself, candidate photos which are not identifiable will undermine the evaluation of your application)
- A copy of the applicant’s passport with a validity of at least 60 months.
- A certified and translated copy of the secondary school certificate and its transcript are required.
- An accredited and translated copy of the bachelor’s degree and its transcript are necessary.
- An accredited and translated copy of the master’s degree and its transcript are necessary.
- Selected excerpts from your master’s thesis.
- Recommendation letter (it will be given to you by your professors at the university you graduated from or the employer in which you work)
